Salcha Senior Meeting 9-10-07
Attended the meeting were;

The meeting started at 7:10pm by Carolyn L.
Topics were;
- We sold one Borough house and a garage, splitting the money with the
fair committee.
- October 23 is our luncheon at the Midway @11:00
- We received a $90,000 grant thanks to Rep. John Harris and his assistant
Pete Fellman. Thanks so much from the seniors.
- Monday, October 8 is our next meeting @ 7pm
- Saturday, October 6 we need volunteers to decorate the senior building
starting at 9am. You can RSVP 488-1664 (Phyllis).
- The Salcha seniors sent a donation to the Schrieber family and Martha
Dunlap.
- We need to get together and start making the quilts for the GOL Program.
Christmas is getting closer.
Angelique’s topic was;
- She is looking at Moose Creek Lounge to sell pull-tabs.
- Pull-tab balance was $12,200.46
- Bingo balance was $444.42
Rhonda’s topics were;
- Saturday, October 20 the seniors are having a Turkey Dinner/Bingo game
Dinner starts at 5:30 and the cost is $7.00 (all you can eat and dessert)
Bingo starts at 6:30 and the cost is $12.50/16 games (prizes in lieu of
money)
May have a bonfire and fireworks
- Exercise classes at the Salcha senior building are Monday thru Thursday
(some Fridays) from 6-7pm.
- Anne Johnson may start Yoga classes. Will check on days and time.
- One Saturday a month we would like to have the seniors go to Bingo
downtown. We can carpool. If you are interested call 488-5802 (Rhonda).
- How about putt putt golf down town once in awhile?
- One night a month get together and go to town for dinner. Again we can
carpool.
- One night this winter I would like the women get together and have a
Pajama party at the senior building.
North Pole Santa Seniors news;
- Saturday, September 15 they are having Dinner and Bingo
Dinner starts @ 5:30 (meat loaf w/ trimmings) and cost $6
Early bingo starts at 6:30 and the cost is .50 cents per card
Bingo starts at 7:00 and cost 12.50/16 games
Prizes in lieu of money

- Saturday, September 22 they are having Spaghetti feed fun-raiser
prepared by Ellen Nelson and her family.
Served 5-7pm and the cost is $10 per adult and older kids, $5 kids under 5

Last and very important!!!
If you have seen or know who is driving a GMC Blazer or similar, please
contact 488-1664 (Phyllis) or 488-5802 (Rhonda). These individuals are
destroying the senior parking lot and have broken some windows buy doing donuts
and throwing rocks everywhere. They drive very fast, pass cars, race with
others, drive crazy on the Richardson Hwy and Old Rich. Nearly run people off
the road. The color of the vehicle is Dark blue on top and light grey on the
bottom. This is an older vehicle. They need to be turned in and pay for the
damages they have caused.. So if you know these people please help by calling
one of us. We cannot let them destroy private property anymore.
