HAPPY MOTHERS DAY....
That is for all you ladies. To all you guys, hello.
Just hope you all remember your moms, wives or any
other special lady in your life on May 11th.
Fathers Day is coming next month and I’m sure you
don’t want to be forgotten. (Smile)
Not much happening this month so the newsletter will
be short. With this yukky weather, who wants to do
anything!!!
We are happy to announce that Mitch Loveless got the
contract to raise our building. He will do more for
the amount of money that we have. The work will
start as soon as the ground thaws. We are so
excited. Then we can start with the new windows and
other remodeling as time goes on.
There won’t be any luncheons at the Midway until
September. Barb has a lot of military going through
this summer.
Our yard sale brought in $ 485.00. Thank you to all
that donated stuff for it. Not very many items were
given this year so it looks like this is another
project that we will stop doing.
Don’t forget to tell your friends, family and
neighbors about the Kids Parade at the Salcha Fair
in June. For more information call me at 488-1664.
If anyone wants to rent a booth for the 3 day event,
call Peggy Burns at 488-4556.
We will have our Senior meeting this month at the
building. It will be a combination for May and June.
Our July and August meeting will be a potluck dinner
on August 23rd at the Senior building. We
will have it at noon. Then everyone can walk on the
level floor. (Smile)
We would like to thank Sue Rossing for hauling off
the garbage that has piled up for a few weeks at the
building. She can be so nice sometimes. Ha, ha.
As most of you know, I was outside for almost a
month. I want to thank the other board members for
carrying my share of work. It was not a happy time
for me. I went to spend some time with my sister
that had cancer. She passed away on the 17th
of April. It was very painful losing her but she is
now with God and has no more pain. I want to thank
Barb Dennis, Sue Rossing, Sharon Morrison, Carolyn
Lincoln, Jan Denton, Candy Smith and my daughter
Rhonda, for their love, moral support and everything
else they did for me during this time. These women
are more than just friends, they are like sisters to
me. Thank you to all that signed the beautiful
sympathy card that was given to me.
Thank you, Eleanor, Cindy and Carolyn Calkins for
helping to take down the Easter decorations and set
up for the yard sale.
This will be the last newsletter till September. If
anything important comes up, we will send you a
flyer.
Have a great summer and enjoy the nice weather. (If
we ever get any) Just pray that it doesn’t rain all
summer.
Say a prayer for our troops. See you all at the May
meeting.
